Experienced and reliable housesitter and dog-walker

Brian provided an excellent pet sitting service for our English Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy. Brian’s communication was outstanding. He regularly kept us updated whilst we were away. The daily photos and thoughtful short messages were amazing and put our minds at ease that our dog was well cared for and having a blast without us. His pre-sit checks/questions and post-sit debrief made us feel very comfortable with the high level of diligence and respect Brian had for our dog’s welfare. The house was left absolutely immaculate and tidy. I would highly recommend Brian as a pet sitter. He was a wonderful companion for our dog.

Brian has looked after our very nervous rescue dog Daisy on two occasions and I could not recommend him more highly. Brian has a natural affinity with dogs and Daisy bonded with Brian from the word go and had a lovely time while we were away. Brian is a meticulous house and pet sitter and took wonderful care of our home and Daisy keeping in touch to let us know that Daisy was happy. We will definitely be using Brian for future sits.

We have had a few house sitters over the years, mostly good but the odd one ok but not outstanding! Fortunately, we met Brian in early 2018 when he did an excellent job of looking after our home and rather headstrong but lovable Maltese Shih-tsu who is now 15+ years old. Since then, he has sat for us on another five occasions with another due in December. Brian is very friendly, 100% trustworthy and reliable person who has a genuine love of animals, he always puts our pet’s welfare first and takes great care of our home. He is very security conscious at all times. On the rare occasion when there has been a problem of any sort we can always depend on Brian to sort it out without any fuss or bother. On one occasion, due to an unexpected late change in his circumstances, Brian was unable to arrive until the day after we left, which was less than ideal however Brian made every effort to minimise the problem and drove across Brisbane the day we were leaving to spend some time with us and our dog before we left and remained with him for an hour or so after we went, walking and feeding him before he left to return the next day. Over the years, Brian has become a friend rather than just a house sitter and we would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone needing a thoughtful and reliable sitter.

I have used Brian for Pet sits for the last 5 years. Brian was my first sitter and I was very apprehensive re this as the site stated the sitter would come after I departed and for me to leave a list as per there policy with instructions. I vetted a few candidates and Brian stood out for his outside the box approach, by wanting to meet the pets beforehand if large dogs then meeting them away from home with owner then walking back to house to ensure the dogs were comfortable. Brian put my mind to rest so much so that after he said he would send me photos of dogs and updates while I was away I said this would not be necessary as I felt so comfortable with him there. Once when our flight was delayed (Brian tracked flight ) and he went back to house to wait so the dogs were not alone for an extended time frame. Brian is the man if you are a first time person you can leave your house with instructions and they will be followed. I have from the first sit given my brand new car for him to use whilst sitting(this was not a requirement) but I was very comfortable doing this. I have no hesitation in saying Brian is house sitter of the year in my books, you are lucky to have him sit for you.

We were so lucky to be able to have Brian look after our kitten! Brian was very knowledgeable and had a great calming effect, knowing our apartment and kitten would be safe while we were away! It was great knowing that while my partner was overseas and I was interstate for work, we had one less thing to worry about! I would definitely ask Brian to assist in the future!
