Pets helping Students to lower Exam Stress

A study by Curtin University showed female students in the last two years of high school were less likely to feel stress and improved their classroom performance when given the chance to interact with puppies.

ReachOut and Student Edge have joined forces to present a Facebook Live event today 14 September at 5 pm AEST. Tune in via Facebook and catch young hosts chatting about exam stress, and taking live questions from the audience. Special guests include Tess the Bomb-proof Therapy Labrador (tune in for more on that), ReachOut Youth Ambassadors and live music from Huckleberry Hastings.

Pet Sitting company PetCloud.com.au also offers a way for students who can’t commit to a full time pet to still have some company and earn money while they study. It’s free to join, and list your services and can start connecting with new furry companions the same day by viewing dog walking, day care, or house sitting jobs listed in their area on the site.
