Natural remedies can sometimes be more affordable than prescription medications and, in some cases, may even replace them\u2014except in situations where lifesaving drugs such as insulin for diabetic pets or furosemide for pets with severe heart conditions are essential. What type of Vet does my pet need?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are different types of Vets; Holistic and Integrative Veterinarians<\/strong> will more often recommend natural alternatives<\/span>, alongside conventional practices, while Conventional Veterinary Practitioners<\/strong> tend to focus primarily on prescription medications<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: just because a Vet is Holistic or Integrative, it does not necessarily mean “cheaper” as they may request clients have a 1 hour appointment for a full assessment. Depending on the Veterinarian, herbal recommendations may also be more expensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
