Each Council differs. Council registration fees go towards wages for Council Staff running a Lost &amp; Found service, money to create and maintain dog parks with secure gates, drinking taps, and rubbish bins, poop bags, and also Council&#8217;s participation in local pet markets with microchipping &amp; discounted parasite treatment, wages for Council Staff to investigate and resolve complaints about dog attacks, barking dog noise complaints, patrols of parks, beaches and streets and picking up wandering pets to impound them or reunite them with Pet Owners.
