Keeping active on weekends or while away on holidays is important to maintaining your weight or increasing heart health. As a nation of dog lovers, you shouldn’t you have to leave your best friend behind while you do this!
To help you get started, make sure you pick a local bike hire service in Noosa that has a secure basket on the front for your dog. If not, you’ll need to bring your own that can quickly and easily go on the front of a bike.
Secondly, make sure your dog has a harness that the basket can clip to so that your dog can’t jump out and get hurt.
We have done our research and some of the top places to bike ride with your Dog around Noosa are:
Noosa Marina to Hastings St (13km return): This is a flat ride along the Noosa river. The ride takes in some of the most scenic bike paths Noosa has to offer with great cafes along the way. For kids, the Pirate Playground is located close to the Noosa Yacht Club and is a great spot for a short break, play or a swim.
Junction to Surf Beach Trail
Noosa Junction to Peregian Beach (23km return): This ride follows the coast mostly on the coastal bike bikeway (away from the traffic), and is a great way to see the Eastern Beaches.
Noosaville looping around Noosa Waters (5km return): This ride starts anywhere along the river & is a chance to look at the beautiful waterfront houses of Noosa Waters.
Creek & Markets to Junction Ride
Noosaville to Noosa Junction (12km return): From Gympie Tce jump on the wide shady bike path that takes you along Weyba Creek to the Noosa Farmers Markets and the Mangrove boardwalk. For the little riders the Mangrove boardwalk is a perfect place to check out the colourful crabs & fish (5min to walk the loop).
